Default Recommendations for a interface that works well with PT

I'm looking for a Interface that has a good quality Headphone Amp and works well with PT. My price range is around 300$.

I tried using a Fiio E10K since i only use my PC for editing and mixing, however there is a lot of lag (play/pause/switching solo)
probably because of the Fiio (cpu/ram never above 60%).

Is the DAC/Headphone Amp in a Scarlett 2i2 / Presonus 26c comparable to the Fiio? (Headphones: 990/770pro 250 ohm)

Appreciate your input :)

Focusrite interfaces have good drivers and generally sound good.
If you can go a little higher, I would go for their Clarett series of interfaces, which sound very good. Something like the Clarett 2Pre would work well and you can sometimes find demo units right around $300. If you go that way, just make sure you get the USB version as they make Thunderbolt versions too.

With 250 ohm headphones, you may find many interfaces yield low volume

used Focusrite Scarlett (or b-stock) with as much IO as you need. I have the 3rd Gen 18i20 I bought as B-stock from Focusrite. Headphone outputs happily drive a pair of AKG K702's, so you should be fine.
