Hidden Feature?
Most of you will know that if the Delay Compensation "Dly" indicator, in the edit window, turns red, you can hover the mouse over it, and it will track down any potential feedback loops.
I was just using that function to see where I'd done something stupid, and accidentally right clicked on that "Dly" indicator, and a menu pops up : Meters with the options to check : Bus Input I can't find any documentation on this feature, and as far as I can tell, it doesn't seem to effect the way Delay Compensation is reported (i.e. "Metered") in either the mix window DC fields, or have any obvious bearing on the I/O set-up. It also doesn't appear to effect the actual mixer meters (assuming my initial interpretation of "Meters" / metering / metered was incorrect, and it was literally the mixer meters being referenced). Of course, if nothing is going wrong, then I probably wouldn't see any change in behaviour, so this is probably a wild goose chase. Anybody know what this function does, and where to find the relevant documentation? Cheers! |
