OSX 10.8.5 & MBox Pro 2 were working but stopped (PT 11)

My MBox Pro 2 and my OSX 10.8.5 are no longer communicating. The system was working without incident for months and fell apart yesterday when I opened a session. I received a notice indicating an issue with the internal clock, another indicated two devices cannot share 48 kHz. I have tried everything, and am completely stumped.

Current Symptoms:
1. Mbox Pro 2 has a solid yellow light
2. Sound comes out of MBox headphones and Mac Mini speakers simultaneously.
3. Mics pick up sound when a track is record enabled but they also pick up sound with the track is not record enabled.
4. In addition to other commonly discussed issues.. for example, when I open a session I get the message "Some paths were made inactive because they could not be assigned to existing path definitions"

Hardware:
PT 11
OSX 10.8.5
MBox Pro 2

Actions Taken:
1. I've downloaded all the drivers for the MBox Pro 2
2. I've connected an MBox Mini 3, and everything worked fine
3. Rummaged through Hardware, Playback Engine, I/O Settings, etc. no luck

Exorcism advice?… How do I get an MBox to work with my Mac again? Thank you

You can try deleting the input in the i/o and reseting the defaults. I have the same setup for mobile recordings. Make sure in the hardware profile its set to mbox. sometimes it reverts back to the computers internal setting.
