Default FWx firmware update failed!

During firmware upgrade of FWx card to v.1.1 got a message :
firmware upgrade failed!
after that got blue screen and computer restarted.

Later tried to run firmware upgrade again from 2 different computers.
every time Updater would state that I have latest firmware version..

so, how to verify that firmware upgrade didn't actually fail ?

also, if Venue with updated Fwx card to frmwr 1.1 to be used with PT9.0,
do I have to downgrade that card back to frmwr 1.0 or should frmwr 1.1
work with PT9.0

any ideas ?

Try this, get a mac, install Pro Tools, install Fw32 driver, connect to Venue, run Pro Tools and confirm you have Fw32 driver active, while Pro Tools is running in backround, try to run the firmware updater again and this time it should work.

Thank You for the advice.

Firmware Upgrader reported from the mac side that card has latest firmware.

I recorded few bands during music festival.
Everything looks OK.

But question remains :
How do you roll back from firmware 1.1 to 1.0, so card could work again with computers that have Pro Tools 9.x ?

Thank you

So you have all 32 io available on the desk? If so, then you are good to go. No need to downgrade, PT9 works with 32 io.

I just did the update on the Mac running PT 10 and show 32 i/o, and it sees the SC48.
The SC48 shows 16 i/o, BUT since my SC48 is still running 2.9, can I / should I run the Firmware Update on the SC48 anyways, or do I NEED 3.0 before the Firmware goes in?
