Default "Digidesign" Folder not shown in "Application Support"

Hello folks,I have this trouble:

Mac OS X 10.6.8

Pro Tools 8.0.5

In the Application Supporto I cannot see the "digidesign" folder, and I Need this to copy and install other plugins.

BUT,from the application menu,I can go to:
Digidesign -->pro tools --> plug-Ins alias, and this link goes exactly in the folder "Library/application Support/digidesign/Plug-INS; and the folder contains all the plugins from PT8.

I don't know why this happens, but this is making me become mad...

I don't even know if it's a problem from protools or my Mac Book Pro.

Thanks!

Make sure you are looking at:
Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support

And not:
Macintosh HD > 'username' > Home > Library > Application Support
