Default Control 24- armrest and faders

well replacing a fader is pretty straight-forwrd, in fact I'd say it's a toss-up between the time spent disconnecting/reconnecting, and how long it takes to change faders

but the armrest.... Digi... were you afraid someone would steal it??? LOL

18 screws?

for future Control 24's (In whatever manifestation they may take... VENT THE BOTTOM PANEL! just a suggestion

I wish they would have put the armrest all the way across the front instead of bringing the side panels into the equation. It would have made things easier for "built-in" installations.

I agree-

however it is what it is (I thought about "modifying it") I am replacing the plastic with a hardwood "assembly" which I may put a pad on if I think it's necessary. I don't know about others, but I guess (from the oil in the skin ?), the plastic piece gets a tacky film on it rather quickly, including the side rails... but most apparent on the armrest

don't know if it's me or what, but I don't seem to have this effect on guitar necks or any of my other gear...

It's not just you - many a complaint has been raised about the sticky problem. Something in the material they used just doesn't get along with human skin. Nice choice.
