Default elastic audio problem

I have 11 tracks of drums in a session in which there are many regions. I have been using elastic audio to fix parts. Elastic audio has been great. However, I had problems with losing some regions after consolidating all the drum parts. I have tried doing this several ways.

First, was to consolidate all of the regions... it appears to first render the elastic audio on the tracks. Once it's finished I have blank spots, where a particular region was, all within the same timeline on only 4 tracks.

The second way was to try the consolidation on only the kik, alone. Still had the same problem...

I then tried committing rendering on the kik instead of consolidating and before it started rendering the section/region disappeared and then the track was committed.

Anybody had this problem?

Yes, I have the same problem. When I consolidate all the regions (some have EA on them and some don't...but they all have crossfades) certain regions on certain tracks are missing.

What's worse, I am also having the same problem the other users described like this one http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread...lastic+problem and this one http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread...lastic+problem. Notes shift when I render elastic audio.

That means rendering elastic audio first does not help. I think my only option is to buy a ProFire LightBridge and ADAT my tracks to Alesis HD24.

I am editing multiple grouped tracks of drums in Polyphonic mode.

Shame! This will cost me money. I though my Pro Tools experience would be better than my Sonar experience.

maybe a temporary work around would be to bounce out that track, then re-import it into a new track and disable the original...

Can anyone experiencing this possibly send us a session that exhibits the problem?

I see several mentions of waveforms shifting after committing (which is a known Read Me item), but you're also saying that the audio shifts (along with the waveform).

We've been trying to reproduce this here for several days, as you can see from the other thread referenced, without success.

X-Form and Monophonic are another Read Me item as we know they will sometimes shift audio during commit. Polyphonic and Rhythmic should not. If you're using Monophonic or X-Form, that could be a cause for audio shifts and, since the waveform on EA tracks is approximated until they're committed, we know that the waveform may not reflect exactly what's on the track. Once you commit, the waveform will be correct and the audio should not change from it's original, uncommitted, EA version.

The problem of shifting waveforms seemed (for me) to fix itself when I updated my M-Powered to cs7, but I still get artifacts at the ends of regions and missing regions when I consolidate.
