Default How to remove space from the front of a song?

I have a session that has too much empty space at the beginning of it, and I'm trying to figure out how to delete some of it. It has 30 seconds before the first instrument starts and I want to make it about 5 seconds. I know that I could drag all of my wavs to the front of the timeline, but I'm wondering if there is another way to just delete time on the front of the song?

Thanks for the help.

or..highlight the empty space from the time line (which will select all tracks) in shuffle mode and press delete.

Highlighting the empty space and then hitting deleting it in shuffle mode doesn't work.

I don't want to just change the starting time, I want it removed all together. I can't just drag the wavs because the playlists don't seem to drag with the active tracks.

Any ideas?

To my knowledge you can't really remove empty space in the way you're describing. Your best bet is to select all regions on all tracks in the session (i.e. highlight the "All" group), then use cut and paste to move them all en masse to the start of the session, or wherever desired. The automation underneath the audio regions should be preserved when you cut/paste them.

Remember to include the tempo and marker rules when copying if there are tempo changes/markers that you want to keep locked to the underlying audio.

Nevermind, I figured out the right way to do it.

In case any of you guys need to do it, do this:

Event > Time > Cut Time

Has no one here ever used this method?

Ok, the "cut time" doesn't move the unactive playlists with it. So I need another method.

Can you walk me through the method of selecting "all"?

Thanks alot.
