PT QUITTING

why would ONE project ALWAYS make pro tools unexpectedly quit upon closing it....its happened like 9 times in a row and wasting my time... if someone could suggest something or knows the answer i'd love it! thanks

I had this happen to me one time with version 4 and the way I got around it was to construct another session and import all the parts from the one crashing. It was a pain in the butt but is stopped crashing. I never figured out why it did it so can't help you there.

It's just a corupted file at some point. Whether it be automation, fade, PLUG IN, or actual audio-- some type of corruption is causing it.

That is the reason.

Do what Brent said, and it should solve it.

If NOT,,,, then I had that happen to me, and it ended up just being a plug in (aahhem,, them one kind of plug ins), and I just took it off, saved the session, then put it back on.. Worked perfectly ever since...
