Thanks for your response!

One self correction: the settings displayed in "Quantize Controls" directly correlate to what is selected in the event operations window quantize page. So these settings apply when quantizing elastic audio events, quantizing audio clips, or quantizing MIDI. All of those actions can be performed by the Command Option 0 shortcut.

The one thing it does not relate to is the "Command 0" shortcut which always snaps a clip to the current grid.

Also I'd think the one thing that should be totally separate from these suggestions would be input quantize settings. As I agree, you wouldn't want a default follow grid setting to mess up your performance if you were changing the grid around and then hit record again. Luckily input quantize is separate in event operations. Default still being 1/16th might make sense for that one.

A simple sampler and midi playlists are highly requested and planned! As for the default settings you are asking above, it should not be hard to change, and we can ask other users if they agree and then we can possibly do that but I can't commit to a when.

HTH and thanks for the feedback.

+1 for custom note names (on the vertical keyboard view on the left) in the MIDI Editor. Like the Mapped Instrument feature in Logic or the Key Info in the Vienna Synchron Player.

seems pretty creative, and also very nice to mix if you have a control surface

I 100% agree although I would much rather see a fully fledged drum editor in Pro Tools rather than it be implemented as a MIDI AAX plugin.

Something like the step editor in GrooveCell would be a start but I’d like to see something more powerful such as the sequencer in Wave Alchemy’s Triaz plug in.

A simple sampler would be a VERY welcome addition here. Not too simple though!
