Serato Pitch N time Pro alternative?

seems that in 2023.3 they added. zplane's Elastic Pro AAAX, a $200 plugin, "alogithm". that supposed to top anything Avid had prior,

anyone use this one? scotty?

time to upgrade my protools, it's free, it's new, they say it's top notch,
i'll believe it when i hear it.

Only for Elastic Audio.

It is not available as an Audiosuite plugin nor via the TCE tool. You’ll still need to purchase a full license if you want to use it that way.

Pioneer DJ bought out Serato mid last year.

I'm sure Pitch N Time will get integrated into their products, but whether it survives as a plugin is another thing.

I don’t believe that deal has actually been finalised yet. It was still under review in NZ.

I wouldn’t expect good things from that AlphaTheta acquisition.

Well from what I've read, all the statements seems to talk of it as its a done thing "AlphaTheta Aquires Serato". There's even a mention of it somewhere on Serato's website.

If you didn't see my earlier post, an Apple silicon version of Pitch N Time LE was released recently. So it's not abandoned yet.

Thanks all for this topic. I've just installed PnT Pro 3.1 in pro tools and so far so good - I did not realize that Serato has done this Apple Silicon update. My existing v3.0 license works fine.

Hi, I have been trying to get a second demo from support for 2 months now. They can't seem to understand that 800 USD if I don't think it's measurably better than Elastique Pro, is a big risk. I tried it once in 2013 FFS, 11 years ago, and have been having a hard time trialing it again.

Maybe you can help, since their support takes a week between answers. Sorry!

Do you know if the Logic LE version is included in Pro, or do you have to buy both? If both, then LE is out of the question, as I want the transient algorithm which is only in Pro. They won't even answer me, I have asked them 10 times now, if Pro sounds like Serato Studio which I have tried PnT in since it was the only way I could try it, or if they algorithm is better in Pro. Every email I ask, and every reply it falls on deaf ears. Surely they must have some of the worst support in the industry. But I digress.

Second question, have you tried the transient algorithm on a significant slow down on percussive material? This is where they all pretty much fail and what would make it worth it for me. Say slowing down from 120 to 90.

Hi TNM, Like you, I have not heard PnT for a few years and will need to test for sound quality alongside current options; hopefully it's worth having back in the toolkit. Also, I haven't seen any references to a Logic LE version in this installation.

Fyi, here is a quick test using a simple drum loop.
