Smile PT8 Third Party Software

When installing the third party software that comes with PT8, what is the directory path that you set for installation. The default path doesn't seem as though it allows you to pull it up as an insert.

Also, where are you placing the Big Fish loops?

Thanks

B

I got the amnesty d/l of PTLE v8 and so I had to d/l the extra content separately..

With that in mind, I unzipped everything to my recording drive, (separate from my operating drive). I just created a folder called PTLE8 Content and put it all there by category, (ie: world, pop, rock, etc...).

When I want to access it I open Workspace Browser (Alt + ; navigate to the style I wish, open the folder for the instrument type I'm looking for, and audition samples until I find something that will do.

If you use this method, make sure that the metronome icon on the menu bar is highlighted, (and for me, I use Rhythmic elastic properties). That way, you will audition the sample at your songs tempo. When you find the one you want, just click on the filename and drag it into your song.. either to a stereo or mono audio track.

Probably the long way around, but that's how I use it..

Peace!

Anywhere you want, they're just wave files.

Cheers,
