Pc crashed, totl reinstal, can't find plugs

So I crashed my computer and had to reinstall win 10 and all my software. Now Pro tools can't find my plugins, waves, avid , slate and many others. Anybody know how to get them going again. All the data is still on my hard drives but still Pro tools can't find the plugins. ANy Ideas:)

No I did not. My ilok says they are all activated, and my waves central says the same. SO , I have to reinstall ALL my plugins?

When you reinstall Windows, it wipes everything. You have to install every program, including plug-ins, except for the stock plug-ins that get installed when Pro Tools is installed.

For backup imaging, I recommend Macrium Reflect. I image my OS and Session drives nightly, keeping 3 nights rolling, and image my OS drive before any install/uninstall/update/upgrade. If something goes wrong, I can be back to a working system in 15 to 20 minutes. And the paid version has protection for images from Ransomware.

The avid plugins didn’t reload when I installed.🙄 I got most of my waves working but still missing a few. Thanks for the info.

Just for clarification, the Ilok holds the AUTHORIZATIONS for all the plugins, not the plugins themselves. So yes. You wipe your hard drive, of course it takes your plugins.

For even more clarity (?); the (~28) stock PT plugins actually reside inside the PT application and is restored to the plugin folder at PT launch if they are not there for some reason. The AIR FX and AIR Instruments are two separate installers freely available in the Avid Download Center in your Avid MyAccount. Any other plugin needs to be downloaded from the manufacturer and reinstalled as you've found out.
