Default Right click bad behavior

Hi,
PT 12.7.1 OS 10.12.4
I never have luck with searching this forum, so sorry if this has been asked before.
If I am in the edit window with the selector tool and I right click so I can get the menu to do what I want, (separate for example), it just highlights the entire clip.

Something in prefs I would guess.
Anyone?

I get both the entire clip selected and the right click menu. You don't get the menu?

Are you getting the menu? Perhaps you're talking about this issue: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=390138

I don't even get the menu.
It just selects the whole clip.
I can left click and use the short cut.
I am a PC user at work (real job...lol..I wish audio was my real job) so am used to right clicking a LOT.
Just a habit.
Seems I should still get a menu.

Make sure Secondary Click in enabled in System prefs.

Control clicking and the right click menu are not the same thing.

Thanks, but that is not it. I'll keep at it. I'll figure it out eventually.
Thanks everyone.
