Default Quick question.

I've run into a small dilemma, and maybe someone out there can help me.

I have a G4 running pro tools, and a PC running gigastudio.
I have midi running into pro tools (to record the midi) then out to gigastudio and then the audio from gigastudio comes back into pro tools to record it.

Now, my problem is that I want to play multiple "instruments" at once. However I can only select one channel out from pro tools to gigastudio. I want to mix sounds together, instead of having to record the midi notes, and then create new tracks and copy the notes over.

Has anyone figured out a way to do this?

Ok now I feel like a dumby.

It appears that if you hit record on one midi track and hold shift and hit record on another midi track that it will enable both for record, thus allowing me to listen to two different "instruments" at once.

Hopefully this can help someone else who is having the same problem.

Yup - you can also hold down a modifier (Control, I think) and route the same MIDI track to two different sources - which would solve your problem in another way.
