Eleven Rack ReAmp HELP !

Hello Folks,

I am having Problems ReAmping With Eleven Rack !!

Can Someone Please Help ??

There you go My setup:

Using Pro Tools 11
Main Interface: Symphony I/O with 2 line level inputs.
Eleven Rack Connected to the SPDIF of my Symphony
Focusrite ISA TWO with the 2 outputs connected to analog line inputs of my symphony.

A Guitar Connected to the DI of the Focusrite.

(I recall that in order to reamp with eleven... there has to be a cable coming out of the output to Amp from the 11rack to an analog input on my main interface ...) but as you see that the 2 inputs are occupied with the outputs of the focusrite ...

Is there any turn around for that ??

I was actually watching a Youtube Video by Benoni and he insisted on connecting a cable via analog ... I would love to reamp with a separate interface only with the SPDIF cables connected

There is no such section in the manual stating How to reamp with eleven when used with a main interface ...

But the Manual I got is the version 9 ...

Do you have a link for the latest one ? I will be Grateful

Please read through the Eleven Rack Info thread to help you find useful information on the 11R.

The section you want in the manual is Chapter 7 - Reamping

junkgear I have read that ! there is nothing that explains on how to reamp when the rack is connected as a slave through digital connection ...

under step 5: they say Eleven Re-amp.L** (if it's a mono track)

But how can I assign it to this when in outputs all I have are the analog outputs of the symphony ??

The reason that Brian is connecting the analog cable is because he is recording the RIG in stereo using S/pdif.

If you want the DRY guitar sound PLUS the stereo RIG, yes you need the additional cable. So if you have already recorded your RIG and not your DRY signal, you really don't have anything to re-amp

Otherwise you can split S/pdif and record mono RIG and mono DRY with only the S/pdif.

I'll echo what has been said about recording your guitar using 11R as the interface. I do that quite often. Turning off the 003 and using the 11R as the interface. Works really well and is a piece o' cake.

I'll also echo spending time with the manual. It truly IS one of the better manuals that I have seen from Avid.

Ok let me get things straight ... I have an audio recorded in Dry ... regardless whether it was recorded with eleven or not ...and I want to add the effects of my rack to that audio track ...
Do I need that extra cable or not ??

Short answer is NO!

Look at page.....I think 86...yes 86 of the 11 Rack manual. It is very clear how to re-amp a track that is already recorded into Pro Tools.
