Help with "illegal instruction" error.

When I try to load any session file, or even just try to start up Pro Tools, I get the following error message just before start-up finishes:

"Could not complete your request because illegal instruction attempted at address 0x621D7150 in module: DAE.dll".

My only option at that point is the click the "OK" button which closes down the program.

Any ideas what might be causing this, or how to fix it? FYI, I've done numerous forum searches but no results have turned up.

I'm running PT 8.0.1 on Windows XP SP3. The last time I successfully booted up PT was about 2 weeks ago. No problems then.

Install fresh copy of PT 8.0 then update it to PT 8.0.4.

Personally, I prefer 8.0.1cs2 for XP. A reinstall might help. Posting a Sandra report as described in the "Help us help you" thread would help even more
