I am using iMac Pro 2017. Ventura 13.6.1
The Carbon is connected via Ethernet to TB2 and TB2 to TB3 Apple branded adaptors as recommended.
Thanks

And that is not a fully useful answer. The super important thing is what Ethernet device are you using. So what *exact* Ethernet dongle do you have connected to Thunderbolt. What brand/make model. These are not just cable adapters they are complete Ethernet interfaces with drivers etc. and using an adapter/dongle that supports AVB is critical.

In case that is the issue, if you want known compatibility and better customer support than you'll get from any other dongle provider go Sonnet. https://www.sonnetstore.com/products...lt-avb-adapter

But since this is an iMac why are you not just using the internal Ethernet for AVB and the dongle for other stuff? Have you tested swapping Ethernet physical connections?

As I said the adaptors are both Apple-branded as specified in the Avid Carbon support documentation. They are 'known compatible'.

Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter into
Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter into
Mac Thunderbolt 3 port.

I am using the internal ethernet port for a 10gbe connection to my NAS.
Yes I have tried different tb3 ports.

I have a feeling your issues are related to your ethernet port use.

In my experience with a Mac Studio if I don't have Carbon on the internal ethernet port I was seeing issues. That's with both the sonnet adapter and the daisy chained apple adapters.

My advise would be to remove your NAS (for testing) and use that internal ethernet port and see where it gets you.

To really trouble shoot it you will have to remove your other networked devices.. They are all potentially a conflict for Carbon.

I use the exact double dongle setup the OP is describing BUT only for my M1 MacBook Pro (with no ethernet port ) and it works fine and PT see's Carbon

But on my 2020 iMac I use the ethernet port and PT sees Carbon
And both are a rock solid connection

Now I if I remember correctly , I think that a while back someone was on here and was having similar issues (not connecting and or loosing connection) but I believe he was using iLok Cloud, don't know if that was the problem or not.
But on both my systems below, I get solid performance with the iLok USB stick and the connections I mentioned ?

The issue hasn’t occurred for the last few days.
I have no idea why or how.
I didn’t want to say just in case you think i'm crazy but-
I was also getting connection problems with my dock and S1. Then the internet stopped working after I restarted my routers.
I was at my wits end. One of my recording clients turned up after I cancelled their session. They suggested that I pray.
So I did. A few minutes later everything was resolved and my system has remained stable ever since. Go figure!?!

I didn't have the eucon problems when I first posted.
This thread is about the carbon connection issue only. I didn't want to further complicate the issue by including unrelated problems on top Dominiq.
It's all been sorted by divine intervention (coincidence?) now anyway.
Thanks for your help

With network issues, it's never about ONE device only. Omitting information that would have helped you trouble shoot is a waste of everyone's time.

As I said. The issue didn't occur during my posting. So what you're moaning about is irrelevant. So kindly stop trolling me and barking up the wrong tree Mr Adlauer. You're wasting my time!
