Re: Replacing Avid Xmon with Ginger Audio Sphere
You can also get to Diagnostics mode where you can test switches and displays on the module by holding down Select and Swap on the Attention strip for several seconds. You will see AVID logos - then follow the prompts to perform the tests.

Re: Replacing Avid Xmon with Ginger Audio Sphere
Thank you for the suggestions. I did the reboot and the diagnostics. Reboot didn't change anything. Diagnostic looks like everything is working except the top 2 screens.

Re: Replacing Avid Xmon with Ginger Audio Sphere
The top 2 screens that are not working are part of the master module not automation. Is there a way to do diagnostic on the master module

Re: Replacing Avid Xmon with Ginger Audio Sphere
Another issue I'm having is with the com mic in the S6 . Currently it is wired directly into the TB/Util db25 in the back of the Xmon . I'm going to get that line into a preamp the question is , does that mic need any kind of power or is it provided by the S6 ?

Re: Replacing Avid Xmon with Ginger Audio Sphere
Still trying to get the Com mic to work. I saw that XMON provides 18V through the com mic 2 connection. Would 48v damage the gooseneck mic on the S6 ?

Re: Replacing Avid Xmon with Ginger Audio Sphere
The S6 provides nothing. It is just a pass through. It's pretty much a cable from the top to the back. What phantom power will do to your mic on the gooseneck depends on what mic you've plugged in (and it doesn't have to even be a gooseneck mic -- you can plug a regular XLR to something else)
Also, the switch does nothing for Talkback by itself. It only controls the monitoring software (which will need a talkback mic assigned based on where your mic is feeding in.)
