Bug: Commit, Freeze Crashes Constantly 2024.6

Yeah I am getting crashes with IvoryIII and Ivory II with the latest PT. They work fine in DP 11. Been in contact with the Ivory gang and sent them crash logs. I had created a post here but thought I would chime in in this one.

Having the same exact problem, and just writing to confirm that if I simply "make inactive" Keyscape I can commit all the other VIs!

I emailed Spectrasonics asking for the beta.

Quick update, THE VERTICAL PIANO by The CrowHill company is creating the same problem as Keyscape by Spectrasonics.

also having lots of crashes with 2024.6. Currently not possible to roll back due to ARA.
Spectrasonics support sent me a beta. Things look significantly better until now.

Just spitballin': Almost all of the mentioned "problematic" plugins seem to be VI's with internal sample loading. Maybe there's a conflict going on in PT 2024.6 between it's own "audio loading" vs parallel "audio loading" in plugins? I have no idea though; this is just an observation.

Just to make this super clear...

My findings were that I was having issues with almost all virtual instruments and many plugins (such as Eleven) when I had Spectrasonics plugins enabled in my session. Once I got the beta update, the problem went away across all virtual instruments and plugins.

I mention this because it might be easy to blame another plugin vendor since it is happening to the track their product is on, when in reality, it is the fact that you have a Spectrasonics plugin on one of your tracks that is causing this issue with many of your other VI's plugins.

The Beta update I got has been great for a couple weeks now.

Spectrasonics fixed their issue in a new release which some users tested in beta and it resolved the issue. Their new version so far is flawless .....

Avid has an overall fix coming and the fix we did can also affect other plugins, since it is in a very central place for example the following is fixed in the next version:

PT-325050: Omnisphere in session with certain modulation wheel data causes crash when offline committing other VI (macOS)

Still having lots of random crashes (during editing, moving tracks, opening any plugins...); even with the Spectrasonics Update.
Opened case 04848049 last week.
Hope this gets resolved with the upcoming Pro Tools version.

@klangkraft, see if you're using Shaperbox 3.5.2 (3.5.1 seemed ok) or multiple Xfer Serums in the session, these two have been seen as potentially problematic although I haven't been able to reproduce crashes as yet.

That's my Omnisphere bug above - PT-325050: so great that's been sorted thanks, I was able to create a test for that one

Yes two Serums. Going to freeze them to see if that makes a difference.
