Errant "Z" in Melodyne ARA Causes Removal of Melodyne and All Work
I love the ARA integration of Melodyne with one major exception.
Hitting an errant Z (without the ⌘ key - wether by fat finger accident or a unconscious momentary reversion to the standard PT undo shortcut) causes the instance of Melodyne ARA on that track to be removed completely while also eradicating all the work performed in Melodyne without a warning dialogue box. When removing Melodyne in the edit window via the dropdown box there IS a warning dialogue that requires you to confirm your desire to remove Melodyne ARA and all associated work from the track. Has anyone come up with a solution as to how best to avoid this - other than hitting ⌘S repeatedly or very slowly and carefully hitting ⌘Z? Avid, can you please integrate the warning/confirmation dialogue to this control key in Melodyne ARA?

I’ve had this happen, but shift cmd z brings it back including all the work to date.
Best workaround so far is taking the edit window out of keyboard focus mode (that tiny little “az” button in the corner. I’d love for avid to fix this. Happens to me all the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yep, we discussed it here as well https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?...38#post2654138
The “undo” key command function is a dangerous beast now : are you undoing something you did in Melodyne, or something you did in ProTools? Are you *sure*? Especially if you’re working quickly. You can undo 5 Melodyne edits, only to find you’ve undone 5 ProTools things instead, one of which was “Enable Melodyne”. Infuriating. |

Another reason why many of us use Melodyne as a plugin instead ARA(which is fine for a few simple edits)
