Shuffle mode

I managed to delete across multiple tracks in shuffle mode. The chunks of dialogue and room tone are Gone. But Pro Tools 11 plays back as if it's still there, and then continues to play what isn't under the selector. It goes out of sync after the delete.

Mac, 10.9.2.
This should be a really simple operation. Really hard to edit when something different is playing than what I'm looking at... Any help you can give is most appreciated.

Do you have a long preroll set?

Shuffle mode shifts everything right of the edit to the left by the amount of the deletion
Sounds like that working as it should

Sorry- how do you take a screen shot, and what is pre-roll? The cuts I made are two minutes into a multitrack dialogue with EQ and Denoiser.

The screen looks like what it should look like, and Pro Tools DOES what I ask. Then it doesn't play what it's Done. It plays what was there before I made the change.

Is this an i/o issue?

Can't you just do an "undo?"

Yes, I could undo. Or, could have (it's been saved and closed.) I just tried with a different selection, and yes, it can be undone. But the same thing happens when I redo it. Pro Tools doesn't acknowledge the extrication when it plays back, and it plays back out of sync.
Maybe a 10.9.2 bug?

Shift+Command+3 full screen
Shift+Command+4 cross-hairs, tap the space bar and you get a camera to grab jut a window you click on

YEs-- thought of that-- hidden duplicate tracks. But no echo.
Perhaps a corrupted file. Crashed earlier.

Are you using Melodyne by any chance?
