Sonik Synth w/ Pro Tools

I just got the Sonik Synth plug in and it rocks! The samples are great and I had no trouble setting it up and playing it through pro tools (mbox). I recorded a little riff and the midi regions are there, but I can't figure out how to now record that to an audio track. Here is my set up:

I have my midi track running in from my midi/usb converter, and out through Sonik Synth channel 1.
I have my SS plug in on an aux track, Line in - analogue 1-2 out. This works fine for playing the midi track I recorded. Then I set up an audio track (I tried both stereo and momo), set my SS aux track to bus 5-6 out, and audio track bus 5-6 in and analogue 1-2 out (record enabled), but I get no sound at all, and no signal from my audio track. I have tried every combination of ins and outs, and I can't get it to work!

Can someone please impart their signal flow knowledge on me and help get me rockin' again???

What is your Record Monitoring Mode set to? Input Only or Auto Input?

Right now I am set to auto input. Also, does the MIDI default thru setting have any bearing on soft synths??? It is set to Microsoft GS Wavetable which I think is my sound card, but I have the option of changing it to Sonik Synth. Your thoughts???
