Does 11R still work with 2024.3 ?

Im on windows, using 11R as interface with PT 2023.12. Works fine.
Dont want to upgrade if 11R no longer works with PT 2024.3

Anyone tried?
Is the support for 11R now finally gone in Pro Tools?

"You won't be able to use the Eleven Rack with Pro Tools 2024.6. The Eleven Rack is only compatible until macOS Catalina (10.15.7) and Windows 10 20H2. The latest version you can use for Mac is Pro Tools 2023.6. While for Windows you can use up to Pro Tools 2021.3."

All not helpful "official support information" already known for many years on the driver web page.

Whoever told you this is a muppet adding no value, reading a script off a card about "official support" which means little when dealing with this wantonly abandoned product. To start with it makes no sense to talk about Mac support without differentiating between Apple silicon and Intel Macs. And you are replying to a thread where folks are already running on versions past the versions claimed in the nonsense you are repeating.

The real lesson from this is be very careful purchasing proprietary hardware from Avid that they can arbitrarily just abandon. Folks buying Mbox Studio, Avid Carbon, hope that works out better for you. Maybe in hope of not following the same history as the Eleven Rack, are the folks who developed these other products still at Avid? Did they all survive the last Avid pre-sale to STG layoffs? Or were they already gone?

I know Chris Townsend - who was a (the?) principle behind the Eleven Rack - has long since left AVID.

Ah - the Eleven Rack -it's abandonment by AVID still bums me out. I can't let it go. What galls me is the lingering belief it would take minimal effort to update the drivers and the editor.

Chris Townsend was the architect/lead developer, he left/was pushed out of Avid *way back* in 2012, as were other folks like Hiro Shimozato, product manager. My point/question there is does history repeat itself, what is the current Avid product that has no core development team behind it? Carbon? Mbox Pro? At least we know there is a design/driver/firmware team behind the MTRX family and it is at DAD/NTP not at Avid.

I think Eleven Rack "minimal effort" driver expectations were uh very optimistic... as I have said before on DUC.

Avid really should have done a DriverKit driver on macOS, especially for Apple Silicon support, and that is more than a "minimal effort". Amusingly the kext driver seems to borrow some mAudio driver parts, which may represent that point in time at Avid and how that small team borrowed/pulled together so much stuff to get this impressive product out. That might not help if there is nobody around who understands that legacy code.

Oh well it's still a nice stand alone guitar processor, with if needed, AES/EBU or S/PDIF connections to an interface. Just maybe don't buy that interface from Avid.

I'm also bummed that after so many years I have yet to find a product I like better - or even as-well.

The Headrush Gigboard is *close* - and even has some features I would've liked to have seen in a 11Rack update. One thing I have not found in *any* other HW modeler or software is how the Eleven Rack 'cleaned up' so organically when you turn down the guitar volume (the HR GigBoard does not clean up in this manner, like the 11R does, sadly). Picking dynamics are also outstanding - imo. Maybe it's the variable input impedance & capacitor "Special Sauce"?

No-one but me (if even then) would ever hear these sorts of things in the context of a full rock song mix but it sure makes it more gratifying to play.

Anyway - dammit. Glad mine still works but I really miss the PT integration.
