I have an Axiom Pro 61. Beware! On giant sessions it causes PT to crash. I think too many tracks with lots of plugs is too much data transmitted to the Axiom. I have not had time to put this up on the M-Audio support forum but it only pertains to people with really big mixes. (100 tracks or more.)

How's the action on the Pro???

The original Axiom's action feels cheap, any feedback on this???

Can you Bypass Protools control and use it just as a keyboard without crashing???

Thanks

I have the Axiom 61. It's a semi-weighted keyboard, which means it isn't as "mushy" as your average synth, but isn't as heavy as a piano style weighting. It's somewhere in between. I really like the feel to it.

I don't have the Pro model. I've never had a crash due to the Axiom (that sounds very odd anyway).

Hi
just to throw in some counterpoint:
If you are just into a little tweaking the Axiom is enough.
If you are into heavy controllerism like me, and in Transfuser is A LOT to control
I´d got for the Novation Remote all the time.
Automap works perfectly stable.

best

At some point I'll be facing this decision too The Novation or the M-audio....I'm not really pleased M-audio put only 8 knobs on the Axiom pro when there's a whole blank area next to the drum pads where they could go. More knobs are essential....plus it only comes in white??? What's with that?
