Compressor 3 output level=input level??
Hi,
I don't have access to my system right now so I couldn't test it myself, but it seems far off. A fellow of mine just told me that his teacher had informed him of the Compressor 3 plug-in not having output automation - only input gain automation. Surely this can't be right? I mean, if I change the gain parameter on a static signal (noise, sine, other), the gain reduction shouldn't follow, right? Cause that's what happens if gain affects input level into the compressor, for all I can see. Please tell me it doesn't..?

The gain automation affects the gain knob, which is output gain.
