I messed up...Timeline issue in LE
Hello,
I've gone and done something stupid in my arrange window. Somehow I've created somewhere in the neighborhood of 30,000 bars and about 60 hours of total playback time. This kindof overshadows my 4 and a half minute song so i was wondering if there is a way to delete bars or lessen the session length in some way. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

Re: I messed up...Timeline issue in LE
First, save the session by another name (in case something goes horribly wrong)
Now, put a marker at the end of your song (so you don’t delete it by accident). Double click on the zoom tool (shows the whole session including all extra time). Now, drag directly over/on the timeline ruler with the mouse from the very end of the visible session area backwards to just before the marker you inserted (all tracks should now be highlighted). Hit < Control Delete > (deletes all regions and all hidden layers of automation break points). Now double click on the zoom tool again and your session should be pretty much back to the proper length. dk

Re: I messed up...Timeline issue in LE
Hmm....no dice. Seems that after I get all the tracks highlighted and hit delete the space remains. This really wouldn't be a problem except for the bouncing process which, as pro tools would have, may take the rest of my natural life.

Re: I messed up...Timeline issue in LE
As to the bouncing part, remember you can select the part you want to bounce, so the bounce starts and ends exactly where you want to. Just highlight the area you want the bounce to take place. It could be a fragment, the whole song, whatever you want to.

Ah cool! I'll give the shuffle thing a shot but that's an excellent point about the bounce! Thanks guys!
