Default protools HD and Apogee AD-DA 16

Anyone has the following cofig.

Pt HD 3 with 1 192 i/0 and the Apogee AD-DA 16 pack for ins and outs
Sync i/o

I'm having a little problem getting the right clocking to happen. The first 8 channels of the DA 16 will play back fine, but the second pair doesn't seem to clock properly and there's only clock noise.
I guess i haven't hooked things up in the right way. Can anybody tell me how to hook this up right? Does the apogees have to be the master clock source? but where does that leave my Sync i/o and what about loop sync?

Thanks
