Pro tools inserts malfunctioning?
I've recently upgraded my studio with a patchboard, I wired everything up and it all works. Except for one thing; the inserts in pro tools. I have connected the inputs and outputs of my universal audio apollo and I connected an echo (for testing purposes) between them. It seemed to work, I select insert 5, connect my echo between input and output 5 and it echos my track. But after some more experimenting I discovered that only 5 seemed to work properly. The outputs correspond to the inserts, I select insert 3, it gives a signal on output 3. But, only input 5 seems to work, regardless of what insert I'm using, input 5 connected to the output with the corresponding insert works. This means I can only connect one hardware device because only input 5 can be used? I have checked the I/O settings multiple times, I have checked the wiring countless times and I just can't figure out what's wrong. If anyone had help or advive it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Pro tools inserts malfunctioning?
I think that's the Apollo. I have a client with one and the way it's set up is not the first way you might think... Do a little looking in that manual.
