Default Video corrupting on >2gig files even with Premiere 5.1c?

Lately I've been getting feature length video loaded in with an Igniter card from a B&W G3/450 running OS 9.1 and Premiere 5.1c. I'm playing back/working on these projects on a 9600/400NewertechG3 running OS 9.0.4 with a Fuse card. Both of us on PT 5.1.1. The riddle is that 5.1c allows for the >2gig file sizes and playback is fine until right about 1.99 gigs where the second file should drop in, the video corrupts, drumming fingers, freeze, etc. This used to happen before we both upgraded to 5.1c from 5.1. Aftr the upgrade, all was well until recently every >2gig file goes to hell. It seems like it coincided with my partners upgrade to 9.1 from 9.0.4 but I'm not sure when he did that, and he doesn't want to go back and lose the Firewire support that 9.1 offers. Any thoughts on why this is occurring?

Have you tried trashing the Premiere Prefs file?

Now, firstly - I've never captured files of this size (my capture quality rate is low) - but this is my understanding from talking with other people who do work with 2meg rates....

Isn't there a problem with copying the files around - doesn't the "folder structure" need to be the same?

Can you play the second part of the movie in movieplayer? (or is that not normally possible).

If the problem did start occuring after OS9.1 upgrade - check you're both using the same QT version... Is the movie working okay for your buddy?

K: Did trash the prefs. No difference, but thanks for the suggestion.
M: I'm capturing at 250K/sec. and my file sizes are larger than 2 gig, not capturing at 2meg. QT is the same at both ends. Thanks for your help.

More info: I doesn't seem to happen capturing video only, but when my partner captures audio WITH video, it corrupts about 3 out of 4 times. Very curious.
