The 7.4 Product Announcement certainly will answer a few questions for a lot of users.

One in particular to note:
Quote:
If you’re thinking of upgrading to Windows Vista Ultimate or Business, Pro Tools LE and Pro Tools M-Powered™ 7.4 software provide support for both Microsoft platforms (32-bit only).
Also, this announcement only covers the release of the 7.4 software on Vista, which I'm sure includes support for the audio hardware tied to the software, however, it does not mention support for other peripherals, such as the Command8.

And interestingly they don’t mention Vista support for HD, not that I care much anymore if it’s not 64bit...

I do think some people are going to have a ‘teddy out of pram’ moment with the (lack of) features listed for 7.4 & I can see the ‘L’ word popping up again... I know it was too soon for them to change it, but they could of thrown the unhappy people a bone with some AIR plugs or a bundle upgrade for the MPT or DV2 toolkit or .... I don’t know at least something that shows they are listening & give a rats ass...

Sure makes me glad I am not running LE anymore...

Oh, sure...rub it in.

Might not be many people left running LE. I agree, I didn't expect much but just fancy time stretching isn't going to cut it for me.

Paid upgrade? That'll be interesting.

Yehaw... I'm trying to be Ableton LIVE with elastic audio.

Very innovative.

Well hey, for $900, you can get the whole package. Realtime midi to audio rendering included.

Yes, but knowing my luck I would spend the $900.00, and then a couple of weeks later some other DAW company would release a DAW with ADC & all the other bells and whistles AND all the equivalent air samplers etc for $500 for the whole lot.... ... ...

Anyone wanna buy my Control/24? I have the original. When you press some of the buttons you'll get a message that says "function not implemented yet". I lost track of the years from waiting for some of these features to be added. The only bummer part of my sale is that it wont power up anymore and I'm not paying for it to get fixed once again so you'll be on your own for the repair job.
