Can I offset Bar/Beat & relative time from Timecode 4 QT?
Hi - I searched through the DUC posts to see if this has already been asked - I apologized if i missed something.
Can I offset where the first bar and beat start (and wehre relative time start) without also moving where timecode starts? I'm taking a course on film scoring from berklee school of music online, and we are starting with importing quick-time movies into our sequencers. Of course, all their instructions are for programs other than protools. we were assigned to import the film clips, and then move the Bar 1 beat 1 start point to a location 7 seconds into the film. I would like to have the timecode bar synced with the timecode stripe on the film, but I would like to put bar 1 beat 1 any place i choose. how do i do this without editing the movie itself in another program? I have a second question regarding the frames in the track not matching the frames in the window when i select "frame view", but i'll post that in a separate post. Thanks for taking the time to answer... Kelly |

I'm guessing that if you move the Song Start Position, that would do the trick.
