12.3 commit and midi note lengths
Hi guys,
First of all, great new features from Avid. Loving it! But,..... ran into my first little issue. I have a session where there are lots of VI's, one of which is a double bass part. I've tried every way there is to commit this track. sometimes the note lengths are ok, sometimes SOME of them are and sometimes none of them are. And it's not the same notes every time either. It's random. (the note cuts off before the end). This only seems to happen when committing the track, or edit selection. If I do what I normally do, i.e set the output of that track to an unused bus, then right click and bounce, the audio is perfect. Not sure if it is only this particular instrument or not, but seems a little odd. Just wondered if anyone else has had this happen? I'll keep investigating though. Rosco |

Re: 12.3 commit and midi note lengths
Which VI is this? Does it contain keyswitching?
I've been bitten a couple times when using Trilian. Opened a session, printing a selection, and then realized that the start of the selection were after the keyswitch note. It did NOT sound good. Just thinking out loud here...

It's a Kontakt instrument. Acoustic Bass Premier 2. No Keyswitching I can see. Certainly not used it. Seems strange it only happens when using "Commit" but not the normal "Bounce" and also, it can be different notes each time I "Commit" or, it can be absolutely fine and "Commit" as expected. Very random. Gonna investigate whether it's only this instrument or whether it happens with others. Thanks for the suggestion though. Rosco |
