VRM Box Distorted Soud

Hi! Im using the Focusrite VRM Box with a 003 with PT 8.05. When I try to monitor the sound coming out from the SPDIF to the device, I get a distorted sound (cracks and pops type of distortion). The strange thing is that if i use it as a output for my computer it sounds good, no problems at all. I downloaded the latest software, the beta one, even I tried and old one but it doesn't seem to resolve the issue. I tried uninstalling PT and reinstalling and nothing. Im using Mountain Lion OS and the only thing that is giving me problems is the VRM Box when I use it with PT. Anyone having similar issues?

This is an issue that we have seen to be related to OS X Mountain Lion.
