Re: Open Recent list is empty after restart
you are reading that incorrectly. The recent files list is supposed to stay active after each restart. before trashing references my recent list was 10 or 15 session files long did not delete to 0 after each restart.

Re: Open Recent list is empty after restart
FWIW – until I “repopulate” the Recent list, all I see in the Recent list is my last Session - and I've been working on 3 lately.
On Windows, I haven’t trashed Preferences – or done anything else I’m aware of, that may have corrupted a database file. Be interested to know if others are experiencing the same issue.

Re: Open Recent list is empty after restart
Hi Ryan,
I wrote the app that you think has borked your recent files list. It's not likely it's done that, but not impossible so let's try and get to the bottom of it. Yes, you're not going mad, and your understanding of the Recent Files List is correct of course. There seems to be a Lot of confusion here now. The Recent Files List is stored in: ~/Library/Preferences/Avid/Pro Tools/Pro Tools Prefs If - from Finder you click on Go->Go To Folder and enter that path... it will show you that file and other ancillary files. I'd start by manually deleting that file (with Pro Tools closed). When you re-start Pro Tools that file should be recreated, is that the case? Re: Open Recent list is empty after restart
Thank you, Pete. Deleting that single file seems to have fixed the problem. In addition, I had a session file on my desktop that would automatically start in my log in items list when the computer booted up. It was basically a mastering chain converter calibration session for my Lavry Gold that I do each morning before working. In addition to trashing that preference file and moving that session to a different drive the recent files list now works as expected. I cannot imagine that having a session open on the desktop from the log in items would delete all recent files on restart, but it seems to have played a part with the corruption of that pref file.
Thank you very much for thoughtfully responding to my questions. I am still a user of your software and also doubt that it was directly to blame. Be well, Ryan

Re: Open Recent list is empty after restart
Hi Pete, I have not trashed preferences or done anything out of the ordinary and my "recent projects" list is wiped clean. Any advice for me?
