Where does it say AAX? It only says 64 bit for AU and VST. RTAS is 32 bit.

Upgrade to v5/ilok done without problem. I'm so glad that Codemeter .hit is dead.

There's no company like SSL that provided such kind free of any charge upgrade of their obsolete hardware/software no matter how many of them you own.

They also give a free extra plugin of your choice (Valvecomp or Saturator) and 50% discount for ilok purchase for those having SSL's Codemeter dongle.

Thumb up for SSL!

AAX is not here yet but we have MB-7 or Patchwork, don't we?

PS. Anybody wanna buy my two Duende units?

Well, at least we know they're working on it…

I had no issues whatsoever crossgrading. The SSL web site said that my authorizations (Channel Strip and Bus Compressor) would be in my iLok account in 29 minutes, and they were there within 10.

The only thing that worried me was that I had to download the iLok Account Manager, and given the fiasco at the PT 11 rollout last year, that was a BIG worry. But I had no problems dragging the authorizations over to the right iLok and everything worked on the first try.

I'm really looking forward to jumping on the essentials bundle once they come out with AAX !
Any news on projected date?!


I've been pondering DuendeSSL vs. WavesSSL... I've had the WavesSSL in the past and I've enjoyed it. But I have a feeling to try something new. Being that it's apart of the actual SSL company, I feel more inclined to buy Duende.

Any users have experience with both products?

Testing of the AAX beta is already underway and it's working pretty well so far. I've come across a couple of small but easily repaired tweaks, otherwise all good.

RE: Waves vs. Duende, I tested both but Duende took an early lead and only gained traction over time. It's a superior product and it was an easy choice. Anyway, the gems of Duende come in the X-series. X-comp, X-eq, etc. are simply outstanding. Based upon extremely expensive (and incredible sounding) algorithms. They've been my A-Team plugins since I first acquired them.
