S3 (and S6) is revealing hidden faders when I select a VCA

I use both S3 and S6 and up until recently I was able to select a hidden (on screen) VCA fader without it opening and revealing the hidden (in a folder) VCA's on screen.
If there's a pref I can't figure it out so I think maybe it's a bug or now a feature that is frankly annoying.
This seems to happen on anything above PT 2022.7 and doesn't happen on OT 2022.7
Does anyone have any suggestions please?

To be clear - I mean when I select the track on the S3 (or S6)

Are you selecting the VCA fader on the surface or the folder track with the VCA’s inside?

VCA’s are not folder tracks.

I'm revealing the VCA's on the console by simultaneously tapping HOME and END and then hitting SEL. I do this because I want to coalesce the automation. The VCA's are enclosed within a folder. The behaviour is the same whether or not the VCA's are enclosed in a folder

Sorry for the late reply on this.

Depending on what version of EuControl you're running and S6 software(which I'm not sure about). There are some Settings in EuControl that need to be checked for hidden folder and spill states.

Take a look under the General tab in the "Show hidden tracks in" and "Show closed folder members in". are.

There are check boxes for Banking and Spill which will affect how tracks become unhidden in Pro Tools when spilling on the surface.

On the S6 I only have this boxes checked. It behaves as expected on PT 2022.7 but anything later does not behave as expected

The most up to date. I’m not in front of it so I can’t tell you. I can tell though that our support company has reported it as a bug.
