About used SW Transfer of Ownership

I bought a used Digi plug (TL Space) and the sale has been a simple transfert of the license on my ilok account.
But reading the Digi terms I've noticed that Digi accepts Transfert of Ownership for the HW only while the SW can be sold directly on the ilok site without involving Digi for the registration of the new owner. I know that I cannot expect days of tech support for a used product, but I wonder what would happen if in the future Digi will release not for free upgrades for plugins requesting registration data which I don't have. its SW to new versions asking registration data also. In this case how can I proove that I am the actual owner without the new registration at Digi? Sony for upgrading to version 7 has done something like that, asking 10 pounds per plug and if I would not registrated I would not be elegibile for the upgrade.
I hope my authorization will work for any future updates of TL Space.
It could be great if ilok.com and SWHouses were to agree that any transaction on ilok.com would reflect directly in the SWhouses without any other procedure like forms by fax etc. but simply by getting the new owner info on ilok site.
