Re: Sales Pitch?
Yes it's true.
Balanced power is great for analog stuff (power amp, pre amp, mixing board,...). Some guitar amp that always have a small 60 Hz hum are quiet with balanced power. JC |

Re: Sales Pitch?
Once you use balanced power you will answer all of your own questions.
Personally, I would never be without it. Steve |

Hello. I don't care what you all say, it is a known fact only Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader can bring balance to the Force.

Re: Sales Pitch?
Actually, it really depends on how well your studio interfacing is done. If careful attention has been paid to wiring (i.e. no grond loops, balanced patch bay, etc.), and your studio is not spanning multiple power circuits (especially on different legs of electrical service), you may not need balanced power.
IMO, it's wiser to invest in good studio interfacing. That being said, balanced power would come in handy in buildings that have AC power problems that can't easily be fixed. Depending on the equipment, you might want to mount power balancing transformers in a machine room. They might buzz acoustically, and in any case, it would be good to locate them away from any guitar pick-ups. Lee Blaske |
