audio drum loop tempo change
Hi There newbie here again.
I'm doing OK with LE but I can't work out if I can change the tempo of an imported drum loop. I import the audio drum loop which is at 120 bpm but I would like it at say 135bpm how can I do this many thanks |

Re: audio drum loop tempo change
The simplest way would be to drag/import them into a 135bpm Pro Tools session. After that, if necessary, use the TCE tool to conform the loop to tempo.
HOWEVER... There is a lot of information that you/we need to know about the loop in question to answer effectively. Is it just a straight audio loop that has no meta data? Or is it a loop that has been beat-mapped and sliced? What format is it in? ACID? REX? We not only need to know that to give you correct advice, but you need to know that so that you know what needs to be done in the future. If the files being changed are ACID/REX files, check out my tutorial: How to use ACID and REX files in Pro Tools.

Re: audio drum loop tempo change
Hi the files are from beat Monkey.
Sorry to say I am a real newbie at this and don't understand the TCE tool. I'll have a look at your tutorial though I'm sure that will help Many thanks |

Re: audio drum loop tempo change
OK, They provide three different types of loop files, all of which are (supposed to be) beat-mapped and sliced.
Which file types did you order from them? Plain .wav files? Those would be probably be ACID files if you are following my tutorial. It is definitely something that you are going to want to familiarize yourself with, especially if you are working with loops. Information about it can be found in chapter 24 of the Pro Tools Reference Guide.
