No Headphone/Monitor Volume

Hey There - Today I used my M-Box 2 for the first time in months (we have one at work) and I'm getting practically no headphone volume. When I crank it all the way up, I can hear some sound, but barely. I tried hooking up my monitors, and I get no sound. I cleared all the system preferences, plists, etc. Still got the problem.

I'm running an intel Macbook, 10.4.11, 2 GHz Intel Core Duo, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. My computer is a couple years old. I've never had this problem until now.

Any help or possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe try a new USB cable to start with.
