I can not get Sony DVW M2000 to play with Machine Control

I have Checked All Cables. It dose see somthing. It is in remote. Checked with both with & without Serial Time Code Positional Reference.

In Peripherals, under 9-pin Machine Control (Deck Control) Protools Sences Generic 2 as Machine Type. But will not play both the Sony DVW M2000, Sony J30 Playback Decks. Also under Setup window it opens the "Creat Machine Track Arming Profile". What would that be. Is there a way to setup a Machine control Protocol Sony DVW M2000 or Sony J30? Add the to the Machine Type pulldown?

Do you have a SYNC I/O? The Serial Time Code Positional Reference option won't work without one.

This would indicate that it is detecting something.

But will not play both the Sony DVW M2000, Sony J30 Playback Decks.

So when transport=machine, and you presss play, what does the status field in the lower left corner of the edit window say?

That is how one can create a custom profile for a machine. It allows you to specify how many audio tracks it supports, and map the byte codes to the appropriate tracks for arming commands.

Yes. You would do this with the Create Machine Track Arming Profile command.

Add the to the Machine Type pulldown?

After you save your created profile, it will be in the pulldown menu, but above all the other choices.
