Avid Video Engine Choppy Over Zoom
Have been doing a lot more ADR using Zoom to share the Avid Video Engine with the talent in the vocal booth just 15 feet away. While the video is smooth and accurate in the control room, the playback for the talent is choppy making it difficult for the actor to sync with the picture. Audio is fine.
Any suggestions? Running PT HDX Ultimate, Mac OS Monterey, Zoom Pro. |

Re: Avid Video Engine Choppy Over Zoom
BTW, recently migrated to a Mac Studio with the M1 chip. Don't remember if this problem existed previously on the old Mac Pro. But I did download and install the latest Zoom application.

Re: Avid Video Engine Choppy Over Zoom
You’re using Zoom to share video with a talent that’s 15ft away from you? Why aren’t you using a monitor directly connected to your computer?
Of course this is going to be choppy, it’s Zoom. No way are you going to get smooth, synchronous playback on Zoom. |
