Default protools intro for mastering

I still have an PT TDM system HD10 with 3 PCIe cards on a MacPro with MacOS 10.8.5. Is there any advantage taking a bounced song on that system over to a MacMini with Sonoma on Protools Intro for mastering?

Well, I can think of 2 good reasons:
1-offline bounce to create your finals
2-being able to run the latest plugins for mastering(many of which would not be compatible with the old system.

I'm in the same boat, PTHD4 on OS10.8. It's a solid tracking/mixing rig but I wanted to get into some current plugins. I installed PT Intro on my Macbook so I can use Ozone 10 for mastering. Any other current mastering plugs or overall mix tools I should look at?

I don't use PT for mastering as I cannot add UPC, IRSC, metadata or assemble a DDP. To do all that I would need to use another DAW and that DAW is DSP Quattro.

I was just thinking about this very issue Wavelab is another option, but Studio One(check versions for features) might also work. DSP Quattro is great, but for Mac only(if it matters to anyone).

The combination of Pro Tools and Sonoris DDP Creator is wonderful for mastering and it's available for both windoze and mac.

I used to use Peak Studio and then soundBlade, but those are both gone already. If someone is using older system, I have soundBlade LE v2.3 iLok license without any real use.
