Nothing but static from Mbox 2 mini

I am having trouble with my Mobx 2 Mini and its sound output. I plug in my headphones to it and when I try to listen to something it sounds really really static like all the sounds are going through a filter that makes them distorted and really sound liek a bunch of static. This happens in and out of Pro Tools.

It hasnt worked on my computer since Ive had the software on here. I had it all setup on my last computer with the same operating system and it worked fine, but when I got a new computer with the same operating system I have been getting this problem. Please help!

I have did two fresh installs with the recommended drivers and everything that I found in Knowledge Base and I keep getting the problem. I have listed my specs below.

Cpu: Core i7 920
RAM: 6 GB
Mobo : MSI Eclipse
Pro Tools 8.0.3 LE
Mbox 2 mini
Windows 7 64 bit

I have tried to submit a support ticket and no help there(what a waste of time). I spend a couple hundred dollars with digidesign and I can't even get decent support, its sad. So please help!

Running sandra now.. How long does it usually take to complete a report?

Since you are running Win 7 64bit, you should add this forum to your reading:
Pro Tools 8.0.3 Windows 7 Public Beta

Among other things, you will find discussion of a common problem with this BETA version of PTLE... "robotic" or grungy audio.

I searched that forum up and down for my problem and referred to that forum when installing and doing anything. Couldn't find a thing on it

Unfortunately, the bottom line from DigiCS is that the grungy audio is a known bug with the BETA and won't be completely fixed for all users until the final version is released.

And this is why a Sandra Report is called for. There are hardware changes that will minimize these issues.
