Hey U Short Cut Pros. Auto Record Enable?
I was helping a friend engineer a session this evening at his studio using Cubase 5. We were laying some vocals and he gave a quick run of some shortcuts and off we went.
With cubase, you can hit the arrow down key and it will take you to the next track and automatically record enable the track. With Pro Tools I normally hit the : or P keys to go up or down and then shift r to enable the track. Is there a way to set it up in PT so we can just hit : or P and the track is automatically record enabled? Ive looked through the shortcut guide and can't find anything. It was pretty cool, and fast I must add to just hit the arrow key and move to the next track. Not to mention the artist was on point so the session flowed real smooth. Thanks - |

Re: Hey U Short Cut Pros. Auto Record Enable?
I am not a fan of that feature. At least in Cubase you can turn it off. When Record first came out there was no way to turn it off, so you'd go to edit a track and it would be automatically armed.
