Default How create ADR beep region?

Hi,

I'm trying find out how do you create an ADR beep region and how do you place 3 beeps before every line that the talent would possibly read.

Thanks in advance

1 way is to make 3 - 1 frame tone beeps from the signal generator. 2 at 1k and the 3rd at maybe 750hz. Place them 20 frames apart. Select/highlight them and then select an additional 20 frames after the last beep and consolodate the region so it's a single region. On an ADR Beep track, Place the end of the file at the exact place where the talent is supposed to read their line. In other words, they would start reading where the 4th beep would occur. There are probably other ways to do it. But I've used that one for shorter ADR sessions and it's been effective.

The common way is to take 3 single (24fps) frame 1kHz tones and place them every foot (not frames). Then, create (consolidate) a 4 foot long file but where the last foot does not have a beep. IOW, your beep file starts 4 feet before the ADR cue. The count then is 3, 2, 1, "Talk talk talk talk". The actor starts speaking their cue where the 4th beep would be.

Put these on a separate track and start recording at the start of the beeps, otherwise you will miss the actor's entrance if you start recording where 4 would be.
