Help ... Does Protools 5.3.3 work with Windows XP?
Hi all,
Sorry if this seems archaic ... but I own an original Mbox with Protools 5.3.3. I haven't used it for several years (it used to work great) and wanted to do a little recording again. I installed Protools, plugged in the Mbox and rebooted as directed, no problems. But I blue screen immediately when I start Protools. So... Does Protools 5.3.3 work with Windows XP (SP2)? If so ... any suggestions to what's wrong? If not ... any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks in advance, Scott |

Re: Help ... Does Protools 5.3.3 work with Windows
You can set up a second partition on your computer to boot to Windows 2000 or 98 (whichever 5.3 works for). I doubt very much that it works on XP, but I doubt even more that it works with SP2.
Otherwise, you can buy Pro Tools LE 7.0. If I remember correctly, it's $75
