SYSTEM MEMORY
I have Mbox LE 6.9cs3 with OSX 10.3.9 1.8GHz PowerPC G5 with 2 GB DDR SDRAM.
After loading e.g. SYNTHOGY's IVORY Piano SAMPLES I feel and listen a little delay when I playing the notes. What can be the reason of this phenomenon? The other incomprehensibility is that while I keep watching the Activity Monitor and after deleting or changing the sample patches the free memory often remains and does not return to the starting point.E.g. I had to do a disk repair with Disk Utility to set back the System Memory indicator. Please let me know what can be the problem or what can I do to solve these problems? Many thanks in advance Robert |

Re: SYSTEM MEMORY
latency sounds like the issue with the ivory samples. I had the problem when i used cubase and it exists to some extent in all DAW due to the sound being converted from analog to digital. It takes a few milliseconds to process which can be noticeable, however. It can be fixed in PT i believe by changing the buffer size. I'll tryt to find a link.
Edit: added link link: Go here nice article. as for the other problem i have no clue... |
