Is the Pro tools studio Black friday deal compatible with the carbon interface? Do I need to wait 14 days to keep my perpetual license? Where do I purchase Part Number 9938-31063-00 Pro Tools | Carbon PT Sofware Renewal?

Yeah,

Some guidance would be helpful. Even the employees are confused.

I got in on the Carbon w/Ultimate perpetual. I have renewed the Ultimate support/upgrades. Will I loose HEAT or anything if I don't do something else?

Under Carbon in My Products there is no renewal option as there is on the software.

Pretty messed up situation,

In prior years, the "holiday deal" was for new subscribers, but it's unclear with this one.

It's still the weekend, so I wouldn't count 100% on a fast official response, but you can always Contact Sales

I spoke to sales and they said I need a carbon/Boron licence which is not in the sale

What is that?

I suppose all the Avid employees got laid off or are hiding because no one fully understands the messed up licensing.

Again, I would like to keep HEAT, but there is no guidance on whether I will loose it or not.

Sorry for the radio silence! Gotta divide my time between work, family and you guys

Ok... so the "perpetual parachute" license that comes with Carbon is special right. It's really a perpetual license dressed up like a subscription... or maybe the other way around.

When this license expires/turns from Subscription to Perpetual, you loose your plugins, Heat, software updates, support etc... but PT still works and so will your Carbon.

To renew the Carbon Pro Tools Studio Perpetual Parachute, you need to use the renewal part number I posted earlier. You can get it at any reseller. It is not available from the Avid website for some reason and I will work on getting this fixed.

9938-31063-00 Pro Tools | Carbon ™PT Software Renewal

Now, the Pro Tools Ultimate Perpetual that we ALSO gave you all, it's a regular ol perpetual license, and needs no special renewal path.

I hope this helps. Again, apologies for the delay, for some reason the DUC has stopped sending me notifications or my email is eating them... working on this too.
